After completing a Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Jackson native F. Earl Fyke, III, MD, earned his medial degree at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN. There, he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine, followed by an internship in Cardiology.
Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology, Dr. Fyke has also earned certifications for special competency in cardiac pacing, cardioversion defibrillation and echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is also a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, American Society of Echocardiography and the American Heart Association.
The author of numerous peer reviewed articles, he has also held a number of prestigious positions, including appointments to the Board of Trustees for both Belhaven University and Baptist Medical Center.
Dr. Fyke and his wife, married for 40+ years, have three children.
