A native of south Louisiana, Dr. Anderson completed his undergraduate work at Mississippi College. He then finished medical school including internal medicine and cardiology residencies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Anderson’s philosophy for patient is two-fold. First he believes in individualized patient care followed up by detailed patient education. He chose cardiology mainly due to the experiences with his younger sister who was born with a heart defect. Dr. Anderson spends any available free time with his wife and children.

After earning his undergraduate degree at Tulane University, Dr. Bellan earned both a Master's degree and a doctoral degree in Pharmacology in addition to his medical degree, all from Tulane University.

He then completed his residency, internship and fellowship in Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and is the author of several publications.

He and his wife reside in Jackson and have two children.

Dr. Figueroa is a graduate of the Universidad Central, Ecuador, South America. He completed his Internal Medicine residency, Pulmonary and Cardiology fellowships at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He then served as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He completed additional training in Interventional Cardiology at the Baylor-affiliated Houston Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Dr. Figueroa is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He is currently Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Co-director of Cardiovascular Services at Baptist Medical Center. He is a member of various national organizations and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He and his wife, Maria Isabel, have lived in Jackson for the past 28 years.

Dr. Guild earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder and then completed medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed additional studies at Vanderbilt University and concluded his training in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Guild’s mission as a physician revolves around patient-centered care and allowing the patient to make informed, educated decisions. A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Guild currently resides in Jackson with his family.

After completing his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University, Dr. W. Hampton Jones, III, earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, followed by a fellowship in cardiology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He finalized his fellowship in interventional cardiology at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Jones is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the Mississippi State Medical Association.

A native of Jackson, MS, Dr. Jones and his wife, Bonnie, have three children.

Dr. Lawson earned his B. S. degree in Chemistry from Mississippi College in 1990. He completed additional studies in English literature through the University of London, England/Mississippi College overseas study program. While at Mississippi College he received the Perry Academic Award for Chemistry and served as an officer in Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society. He completed requirements for his M.D. degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society. He concluded his training with a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Mississippi as well.

Dr. Lawson currently holds board certification in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

A native of Florence, Mississippi, Dr. Lawson currently resides in Madison with his wife, Patricia, and their four children.

A native of Meridian, Mississippi, Dr. Thorne completed his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University. He then earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Thorne has participated in numerous medical missions trips including work in East Africa, Mexico, Peru, West Africa and Honduras.

Dr. Warnock is a cum laude graduate of both Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed an internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and served three years in the U.S. Navy at the Naval Air Station in Meridian, Mississippi. Dr. Warnock then completed his medicine residency, serving as Chief Resident, and cardiology fellow at UMC. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Warnock and his wife, Shannon, reside in Ridgeland with their three children.

Dr. Waterer is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson. He also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and his cardiology fellowship at the University of Mississippi. He remained on faculty at UMC as an assistant professor of medicine before joining Cardiovascular Associates in 1996. Dr. Waterer is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology. He currently serves on the Board of the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi and as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Mississippi.

A Tchula, Mississippi native, Dr. Waterer is an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and resides in Jackson with his wife, Dr. Rebecca Waterer, and their two children, Joy Kate and Hank.
